Community

The mission of the Community Engagement and Research Program (CERP) is to foster strong partnerships between the community and The Lundquist Institute researchers, Harbor-UCLA clinicians, and staff. Together, we aim to support and advance research that makes a positive impact on the lives of people in Los Angeles County.

What we do:

  • Connect: Build strong community-academic partnerships to enhance public health and promote health equity.
  • Create: Cultivate respectful, inclusive, and mutually beneficial research collaborations.
  • Advance: Provide opportunities for training and development.
  • Engage: Promote community outreach, host symposia, and support capacity-building efforts.
  • Act: Drive impactful outcomes that lead to meaningful social change.

Our mission is to provide educational health preventive services that improve the mental and physical well-being of our communities.

The RFK Institute advocates for human rights issues and pursues strategic litigation to hold governments accountable at home and around the world. They foster a good social approach to business, celebrate agents of change, and to ensure change that lasts. They educate millions of students about human rights and train the next generation of leaders.

The PIHP’s mission is to serve multi-generational Native Hawaiian and Pacific Islander communities by nurturing an environment for overall health equity and wellness through direct services, outreach, education, and advocacy.
